Hi, I’m Stewart, I’m the manger at the College of Health and Fitness. The second stage of your fitness journey once you have finished your Certificate III in Fitness is to move on to your Certificate IV in Fitness.
Now, a lot of the students that we have complete their Certificate III with us and move in to their Certificate IV, but we also get students that are coming in from other colleges. It is essential that you do your Certificate III before your Certificate IV. They are different levels, you are going to learn different things, they are going to have different job outcomes.
So, once you have done the Certificate III you can move straight into your Certificate IV, so we quite often run classes back-to-back, Cert III, finish that, move straight in to Cert IV. If you have done the Certificate III at another college whether that’s in Queensland or another state, then we recognise that qualification and you can move straight into the Certificate IV with us.
Sometimes, you might have done something slightly different with your course in another college, there might be some things that we’ve done here in our Certificate III that you may not have covered, but we’ll help you through that process to make sure that you get all the information and can move forward.
So, we allow you 12 months to go through your Certificate IV if you’re here and again, we offer the course in a number of different ways. You can be doing it full time, or part time, or via correspondence. Generally, in terms of funding you’re going to have to pay for your Certificate IV. There isn’t going to be any government funding available for you to do that.
But we can work out payment plans or you can pay up front, so we can work out a way that’s going to be best to fit with you. There’s a lot of different stuff in the Certificate IV, it is harder than the Certificate III, but at the end of the time you are going to come out with a qualification that’s really going to help you to pursue your fitness career.
We look forward to having you in the Certificate IV, but if you want any more information please give us a call here at the college on (07) 3385 0195 or e-mail us at enquiries@thecollegeofhealthandfitness.qld.edu.au
